Activist lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has refuted the Nigeria Police Force’s assertion that former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore was not tortured during his detention.

furucinovel reports that Sowore, who is under investigation for alleged cyberstalking, was seen in a widely circulated image with a bandaged arm.
However, the police issued a statement on Friday night denying any torture of the activist, claiming that the image was “deceptively presented to mislead the public and incite unnecessary outrage.”
In response, Adeyanju took to his official Facebook page to declare that the police were lying, firmly stating that Sowore had indeed been tortured while in custody.
