We will keep supporting local governments – Delta Governor, Oborevwori

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has reiterated his administration’s dedication to backing the chairpersons of local government areas in providing effective governance to the citizens.

The governor made this commitment during the launch of several projects in Bomadi Local Government Area on Thursday. He was represented by his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the projects were carried out by the Chairman of Bomadi LGA, Mr. Dagidi Andaye.

The inauguration of these projects was part of the events celebrating the one-year anniversary of the council chairman’s term.

Oborevwori emphasized that with determination and focus, leaders of local government areas can instigate genuine change in their communities.

The governor praised Andaye for the projects, highlighting that they reflect a strong commitment to service, unity, development, and values that resonate with his MORE Agenda. My administration will persist in supporting local governments to deliver real advantages to our citizens.

“Let us advance with optimism; the significant projects we inaugurated today symbolize progress and a brighter future for our beloved state.

“Andaye, prior to taking office, invested N50 million of his own money to repair the Bomadi-Ohoro Road. He exemplifies a truly selfless leader. I have also been informed of other ongoing initiatives led by the chairman.

“These endeavors showcase good governance, prioritizing the people, enhancing infrastructure, and ensuring transparency,” the governor stated.

Oborevwori urged the residents of Bomadi to continue supporting the council chairman, emphasizing that these accomplishments underscore the value of unity and teamwork.
