Wednesday morning thunderstorms are anticipated over portions of Taraba, Kaduna, and Adamawa states, according to the weather bureau. The affected areas may see severe gusts in the hours leading up to the thunderstorms.
Parts of the states of Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Kano, Sokoto, Gombe, and Bauchi are expected to see thunderstorms later in the day, along with rainfall, therefore inhabitants are asked to take essential precautions.
Parts of the states of Nasarawa, Benue, Kwara, Niger, and the Federal Capital Territory are likely to see thunderstorms in the early morning hours, according to NiMet. Parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Nasarawa, and Kwara are expected to be hit by thunderstorms later in the day, along with rain.
There will likely be some cloud cover and morning precipitation in the southern region, specifically in the states of Ondo, Ekiti, and Edo. In the afternoon and evening, certain areas of Imo, Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi, Anambra, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Edo, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Rivers State could expect isolated thunderstorms accompanied by rain.
