Recent security breaches and the tragic loss of lives within the university community have led to this decision, according to a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Abubakar Usman.
According to the SSG, the government’s number one concern is the well-being of all citizens, including students.
“The recent tragedies have gravely grieved the Niger State government, and quick action is being taken to rectify the situation.
“The government wants the university community to know that they are counting on them to be calm, watchful, and cooperative while the campus is closed.
The state government is making every effort to restore order, protect its citizens, and keep the peace, according to the SSG.
