The National Secretary of CUPP, Chief Peter Ameh, sent a condolence message in which he said that death will impact every living soul.
Our deepest condolences are with the Buhari family at this time of loss. His leadership of Nigeria is a part of our nation’s history; he served as military head of state from 1983 to 1985 and as president for two terms from 2015 to 2023. Although we disagree as an opposition, we recognise his leadership difficulties and contribution to Nigeria.
Our deepest sympathies are with his loved ones and the people of Nigeria at this time of loss. We pray that Ex-President @MBuhari’s soul finds eternal peace. I am Amin.
All leaders should take a moment to think somberly on this tragedy. We call on the people in power to better the lives of Nigerians by addressing fundamental needs, like access to high-quality healthcare.
The CUPP statement wished that all humans would use their time on Earth to help others, particularly in times of plentiful kindness.
