While paying a condolence visit to Dantat’s family on Friday, Tinubu made the remarks at the Dantata Koki House in Kano. Recalling his time as a presidential candidate, he had gone to the late industrialist for prayers for victory.

I came here during the campaigns to ask for prayers, and he really answered me. I will personally travel to Kano to offer my deepest sympathies to the family and the people of Kano on this terrible loss.

Upon the president’s arrival in the state, thousands of supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) showed their enthusiasm.

Numerous prominent APC and NNPP figures, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Senate President Barau Ibrahim Jubrin, Nasiru Gawuna, a former APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 elections, and many more, greeted Tinubu upon his arrival at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, on Friday afternoon.

President Tinubu’s lengthy procession left MAKIA and headed towards Kano City’s Koki Quarters, where the family mansion of the late business magnate, Aminu Alhassan Dantata, is situated.

Despite the torrential downpour, thousands of APC and NNPP supporters flooded the streets of Kano to show their appreciation for President Tinubu’s condolence visit, which they hailed as monumental.
