Saudi Arabia announces Eid al-Kabir date

A crescent of the Dhul Hijjah has been sighted, according to the Saudi authorities. As a result, the day of Arafah will be June 5, and the pilgrimage will begin on June 4, 2025.

The Supreme Court delivered the announcement on Tuesday, according to Arab News. Muslims will observe Eid-el-Kabir on June 6 if they choose not to make the pilgrimage this year.

Please be advised to keep an eye out for the crescent moon on Tuesday, Dhu Al-Qa’dah 29, and promptly notify your local court if you happen to see one.

Employees in the public and private sectors alike will have a weeklong off to celebrate Eid, according to the kingdom. As a result, the government of Nigeria is likely to proclaim June 6 as Eid-el-Kabir.
