Ronaldo has served his sentence – Geremi

Geremi, a former Real Madrid player, has written off Cristiano Ronaldo’s chances of making a Premier League comeback.

The Cameroonian claims that the Portugal international is unable to handle the rigours of playing in England’s premier league.

He said that the 40-year-old’s diminished mobility and advanced age made him an unfit player for the league.

Geremi went even farther, saying that after the 2025–26 season, the Portugal captain will retire from football.

Ronaldo has two stints with Manchester United, from 2003 to 2009 and again from 2021 to 2022. The seasoned striker has 145 goals and 65 assists in 346 games played in all competitions.

Ronaldo has promised to stay with Al Nassr until his current contract expires at the end of the month, but he has not yet inked a new one.

The Premier League is not going to be his destination, Geremi informed BoyleSports. It wouldn’t be the same as doing it occasionally in international games; the Premier League is too demanding for someone his age (40). I believe he’s entering his final year of football.

In 41 appearances for Al Nassr across all competitions last season, Ronaldo scored 35 goals and added four assists.
