Former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi has been characterised by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike as one of the most corrupt individuals in government.

This was revealed by Wike during his appearance on Friday’s Politics Today on Channels Television. Wike claims that Amaechi is among the most corrupt individuals.

When questioned about his potential corruption, Wike refuted the accusation but reiterated his fondness for financial gain. No court has found me guilty of corruption,” he stated, defending himself against the accusation.

I enjoy having money, and I think everyone needs it. Just because I mentioned that I require financial assistance to resolve issues does not mean that I am crooked. No.

If I want to send my kids to school, I need money. For the sake of my family’s healthcare, I require financial assistance. Am I now corrupt because of that? No. He went on to call Amaechi a liar for claiming a dislike for money.

But a man is obviously quite dishonest when he publicly declares, “I don’t like money.” This is because he is obviously dependent on financial resources to address his issues.

I am not a bush man when it comes to discussing housing. From Obio/Akpor LGA, I hail. Ikwerre Road is home to a handful of duplexes, one of which belonged to my father. Added that he wasn’t filthy rich, but also not from Amaechi’s social class.
