The musician, looking back on his career, said that being the target of internet trolling has helped him grow and succeed on a worldwide scale.

Rema, who had to deal with doubters’ opinions on his distinctive voice, reflected on how tragic it would have been for him to give up on his dreams because of criticism.

I find it lovely when people mock and ridicule me for this,” he stated. Furthermore, did you know? That’s working out well for me. Suppose I had given in to trolls or stopped listening to them. As in, what if I were to say, “Oh, I really should turn it off?”

And it continued to pay off over the next four years. And that’s not all. Reason being, it’s a massive region, isn’t it? Plus, I made history as the first Afrobeat artist to perform in India. If my memory serves me well, I even hail from Africa. Yet it is a major matter.
