When it comes to talks on a solution to end the war in Ukraine, the Russian government has accused President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of being overly forthright.

Sergey Lavrov, Russia’s minister of foreign affairs, claimed that Moscow has kept its cool since the specifics of the peace negotiations should remain confidential.
Lavrov refused to say in a CBS interview with Face the Nation whether Moscow is happy with the terms of the deal for the settlement in Ukraine.
“Unlike some others, we never discuss in public what is being discussed in negotiations. We are really polite people,” he remarked. The minister urged anyone curious in the details of the current talks to “go to Zelenskyy.” He is more than willing to speak with anyone, even President Trump, through the media, according to Lavrov.
“We cannot disclose what they are about” until the conversations are over, according to the top diplomat, who did acknowledge that they are still ongoing.

Lavrov promised the public would be apprised of Russia’s stance on the settlement process as it becomes clear, saying that the country is making and evaluating suggestions in this regard.
