The group was apprehended in the Abuloma Community Town Hall, according to Mr. Chukwuma Oligbu, the NAFDAC South-South Zonal Director, who made the announcement during a media briefing in Port Harcourt.

According to Oligbu, an agent from the agency detained a group member who was allegedly giving a public person one of the bogus dugs.

Additionally, he mentioned that the items were taken to the NAFDAC office for additional documentation and examination.

Unregistered eye drops, bottled water, cleansers, medications, and more were being distributed to the public, according to the NAFDAC official.

Oligbu named Evangelist Jenkins Supernatural Water, Evangelist Jenkins Cleanser, and Evangelist Jenkins Eye Drop among the items being distributed.

According to him, the group pretended to be an evangelistic organization and claimed that their drugs could cure gastrointestinal disorders and vision problems.

As far as he’s concerned, the group’s eye drop has caused swelling in some users, which they say is a testament to the drug’s effectiveness.

Ingredient listings, NAFDAC registration numbers, manufacturer information, and expiration dates are all missing from these items.

Consumers were led astray into purchasing the items. Goitre, cancer, arthritis, piles, rashes, fibroids, cataracts, and glaucoma are all supposedly part of their free medical treatment mission.

Consultation cards are distributed, and a minimum of N5,000 is collected for each medicine. “This is disastrous,” he declared.
