Man Utd won’t field a strong team in the upcoming season—Amorim

Even though they will be spending money on new players this summer, Manchester United has stated that they do not require a large roster for next season.

Amorim stated that he wishes to collaborate with a small group due to the fact that next season there would be no Champions League action. United lost 18 games and finished in 15th place in the Premier League, their poorest ever season.

The Red Devils will miss out on next season’s European competition after losing the Europa League final 1-0 to Tottenham. Amorim is hoping to have a more manageable roster next season due to the reduced number of games.

“We always prepare two plans,” Amorim said, speaking at the start of the club’s preseason tour of Malaysia and Hong Kong.

“When the Champions League is not in play. A large team is unnecessary if we are not to compete in the Champions League.

We have a better way to manage the team. After that, we have a strategy that involves adding some new players to the roster, but our main objective is to strengthen our current squad and our Academy.

It was then, and it may be now. It can’t change much because of Financial Fair Play, we are not allowed to do much, even with the Champions League, so we are prepared.”
