In an Instagram video that Lizzy later removed, she described receiving an unexpected reaction from her father following the delivery of a “huge” monetary present for Easter celebration, while criticizing family members for having an entitlement attitude. That she felt unappreciated was her main point in expressing her grievance.
Typically, I make sure to send my father a check. Because I enjoy pleasant surprises, I often send money at night so he can see the total when he wakes up.
When my dad sees how much I’ve given him when he wakes up, he’ll pray for me. Believe me when I say that the prayers encourage me to accomplish more.
“Baby, how far na?” was the message my dad sent first thing on Easter morning. Get ready for Easter, papa na’. Pretending not to notice it was my strategy.

I sent ten times the amount of money I normally send around two in the morning. Imagine handing your dad a large sum of money with the expectation that you’ll wake up to the sight of prayers encircling you. I only awoke to find the message “thanks” on my phone. There will be no prayers. Not a thing.
“He said I prayed for you in my heart,” she revealed, expanding on what her father had told her during the confrontational call.
Daddy, I don’t just go around taking money. She told him that. I do all day, every day, to get money. The prayers are enjoyable. I am inspired to do more as a result.
