Government officials in Kebbi respond to fire at Kara Timber Market. The government of Kebbi State has expressed its condolences to the impacted merchants and gratitude to the first responders following Sunday’s fire at Kara Timber Market in Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Nasir Idris sent his condolences to the victims and promised them the support of the state in a statement released by the administration.
It is quite unfortunate that this has caused so much suffering. Their losses should be compensated with even greater blessings from Almighty Allah, we pray,” the statement said in part.
The rapid action of the Kebbi State Fire Service, which the governor praised, was instrumental in putting out the fire and protecting the market from further damage.
