Bright Chimezie, a seasoned musician from Nigeria, has enjoyed it when Afrobeats superstar Davido says he gets inspiration from him.

The legendary musician’s song “Because Of English” served as inspiration for Davido’s smash single “With You with Omah Lay,” as previously reported by furucinovel.
Chimezie, who had a cameo in this week’s With You music video, spoke with Hip TV about how he had no idea the song was a sample from Because Of English until Davido admitted it to him. He lauded Davido for his modesty and expressed his gratitude for the OBO singer’s act of kindness.
I am at a loss for words to express how I feel. It makes me really happy. It is an honour. In addition, he expressed gratitude to Davido for acknowledging that he had been an inspiration to him.
His song With You was influenced by my song Because Of English, and I had no idea. It was he who helped me realise that. In a phone call, he told me that my music had an influence on him. The modesty and all of that makes me pleased.
