I was compelled to labour at a tender age – Jarvis confides

Jarvis, whose real name is Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, is a TikToker and video creator from Nigeria. She recently spoke about her difficult upbringing, including being “forced” to work when she was very young.

The actress, who was born in Edo, told the story of how she worked odd jobs to make money meet and how she was robbed at her employment once.

It might be hard for her to fully embrace her femininity, she speculated, because of her early exposure to rigorous labour.

Jarvis recently made the statement, “At a young age, I became a man,” while speaking during a TikTok livestream. Perhaps it is the reason I find it so challenging to behave in a ladylike manner. I had to start working under others at a young age since being a man was a requirement. Many hardships have befallen me.

I acted as a salesgirl for multiple clients. My superiors will be pleased with me when they see my current self-presentation. Once, my madam had to go on a business trip and left the store running by myself. Making a lot of money was my only hope of winning her approval.

That day, though, I was sadly the victim of a robbery. Following the intercession of our neighbours, she returned and forgiven me.

She informed me that she would take the amount needed to replace the stolen things out of my pay cheque. She may have left the money for me later, but I don’t remember it with any clarity.

But she is my love. In fact, she was trying to reassure me that I shouldn’t cry over the situation too much. I couldn’t believe she was so upset with me. For the sake of the next time, she merely advised me to be prudent. When people saw me, they would automatically feel sorry for me. It would be as if they were born to love me.
