In the first match of the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship, the Nigerian Flying Eagles and the Ghanaian Black Satellites played to a 1-1 draw. From the very beginning, Ghana dominated play and confined the Flying Eagles to their own half.

In the 22nd minute, the Black Satellites took the lead thanks to Captain Aziz Misbau. Just ten minutes before halftime, Abdullahi Muhammad scored an equaliser for Nigeria.
