Nigeria’s D’Tigers have secured their place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2025 FIBA Men’s AfroBasket with an exciting 101-92 win over Cameroon.

Mohammed Abdulrahman’s team topped Group B after earlier victories against Madagascar and the defending champions, Tunisia.
Cameroon also achieved wins over Tunisia and Madagascar in their first two matches. They will now move on to the play-offs to confirm their position in the last eight. Both teams battled fiercely in the first quarter, with D’Tigers just edging it 28-27.
However, Nigeria outperformed the Cameroonians, leading 60-43 at halftime. D’Tigers increased their advantage to 86-55 by the end of the third quarter.
They maintained their dominance in the final quarter, finishing with a 101-92 victory. Nigeria is set to face the third-placed team from Group A in the quarter-finals.
