Concerning the hacking of the JAMB website, Uzodinma has called for an immediate probe

After reports of technical difficulties with the recent publication of candidate results, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State sought an investigation into the hacking of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) website.

Following the recent arrests made by the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Service (DSS) in connection with the situation, the Governor’s view was communicated through the office of Declan Emelunba, the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy.

He claims the arrest was vital in determining the source of the problem and will assist alleviate national tensions caused by the development.

But Uzodinma stated that both authorities need to move swiftly in their investigations to find out who hacked the JAMB website and impacted the results of over 370,000 students, primarily from the Southeast.

A prompt investigation and subsequent arraignment of the accused would serve as a disincentive for would-be offenders, the Governor, via the Commissioner, emphasized.

He pointed out that the shameful change at that organization was a national disgrace and needed immediate attention.

The governor of Imo state expressed his gratitude to the security agencies and the JAMB registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, via the commissioner, for their genuine efforts to protect the integrity of the accreditation process.

Rumor has it that twenty individuals have been apprehended in connection with the breach of the 2025 JAMB computer-based test. The arrests were announced not long ago by the police and the DSS.
