While attending the quarterly meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, states’ commissioners of information, which was hosted by the Niger State Ministry of Information and had the theme of “Strategic Communication and Policy Alignment,” Commissioner for Information Bala Zango communicated this while speaking with journalists in Minna, Niger State.

Terrorism in Katsina State has been cut in half, according to Zango, with the exception of certain border areas and woods. So far, he said, things have gone well since the state is fighting terrorism.

There is no room for negotiating with terrorists, according to the commissioner, but those who are ready to surrender will be welcomed back into society. If a bandit chooses to surrender and accept peace, he will be helped and rehabilitated, he claims.

Repentant terrorists would be given the knowledge and help they need to reintegrate into society, the commissioner assured.

He promised that once they were rehabilitated, they would be “full members of society” thanks to the extensive care and education they would get.
