On Sunday, the late former president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, tweeted about the death of the late Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, better known as Aminu Dantata, a prominent Nigerian businessman and philanthropist.

According to earlier reports in furucinovel, Buhari passed away while undergoing treatment for an unidentified illness at a clinic in London. Dantata passed away at the age of 94 on June 28, 2025, and Buhari expressed his grief via his X account.
With his “monumental legacy in philanthropy and entrepreneurship that reshaped the lives of people and business settings in the country and beyond,” Dantata “leaves behind,” according to Buhari.
You may recall that Dantata passed away at a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on Saturday, June 28th, after a brief illness, at approximately 3 am Nigerian time. At the same time, Buhari’s funeral will take place on Monday in Daura, Katsina State, his hometown.
