According to Kalu, the National Assembly is cognisant of Wike’s ability to allocate public funds in a way that maximises their benefit to the people living in the capital.

In Abuja, he delivered the speech at the opening of Collector Road CN2 (Zakari A. Kyari Street), which President Bola Tinubu had commissioned to commemorate his second year in office.

“The President calls you my friend, but I call you my brother whom I’m well pleased,” he stated to the FCT minister.

“I want to express my gratitude to the FCT Minister. I brought this up since it’s a common concern among lawmakers that the budget performance report won’t accurately reflect their original goal when they passed the appropriation law.

We are really pleased with you because you have granted us 17 days to commission projects this year, despite their repeated assurances that you will not repeat the practice.

“You are the best at allocating public funds such that they may have a real and positive effect on the lives of the people we serve, and we never hesitate to approve your ideas when they reach the parliament.

According to Kalu, Wike’s performance has impressed not only the President but also the National Assembly. He was adamant that Wike’s successes prove the Renewed Hope Agenda is more than just theory.

You have really brought the Renewed Hope Agenda’s ideals to life, not just in theory, but in practice as well, and the president and parliament are both very impressed.

“For those who doubted its validity, you have consistently demonstrated in this gathering place of Nigerians, representing each of the 36 states of the country, that the ideals underlying the Renewed Hope Agenda are more than just ideas. “You have brought them to life, and for that we are eternally grateful,” he continued.
