Inspector Edet Ekpo, the police prosecutor, stated that the event took place in the Badagry district at 3:30 in the afternoon on April 22.

According to reports, Afolabi was operating an SUV with the license plate AGL 122 BJ when he allegedly struck the victim, resulting in his immediate death.

According to Inspector Ekpo’s testimony in court, the defendant’s reckless driving on a public highway endangered the lives of everyone on the road. Lagos State Laws (Road Traffic Act, Cap.124, Sections 27 and 19) prohibit the alleged infraction.

Upon hearing the indictment read aloud in court, Afolabi entered a not guilty plea.
