A targeted ambush operation in Plateau State resulted in the effective elimination of two bandits and the seizure of firearms by soldiers serving under Operation LAFIYAN JAMA’A.

Operation Nteng, located in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, was carried out on Tuesday evening in response to information on the whereabouts of wanted offenders. This information was revealed on Thursday by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X.
The report states that at approximately 7:34 p.m., the soldiers ambushed the bandits since they were believed to be travelling along a certain route.
According to Makama, the soldiers eliminated two bandits in the altercation and later discovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and twenty-four rounds of 7.62mm ammunition while searching the area.
He went on to say that the military now has the retrieved goods and that they have beefed up security in the region to stop any further attempts.
