Akpabio: Atiku commends Natasha for questioning the ban

Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has received high praise from former vice president Atiku Abubakar, who hailed her brave challenge to her Senate suspension as a win for democracy and a strong statement of her rights.

According to furucinovel, Senator Natasha presented an appeal against her six-month suspension to the High Court, where Friday’s decision was handed down by Justice Binta Nyako.

She determined that the legislator’s constituents lost their right to be represented since the suspension was too severe.

Atiku praised Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja for her daring verdict that removed the senator representing Kogi Central from what he described the “obnoxious” suspension in a statement he posted on Friday to his official Facebook page.

Additionally, I applaud Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan for standing up to the unlawfulness of her suspension and refusing to give in to intimidation or fear in a room where women are already marginalised. An individual’s freedom to assert themselves should never be compromised, the former vice president emphasised.
