After Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to Bilbao, United’s worst season in Premier League history came to an end, and the club will not play in Europe next season.
With one match remaining in the Premier League, Amorim’s squad is currently in 16th place. In the Europa League playoffs leading up to the final, Garnacho started every single game.
United were chasing an equalizer 19 minutes before the end of the game, and the 20-year-old only came on as a substitute after being benched in favor of Mason Mount.
Every round was played by me until we reached the final. And today I played for twenty minutes… “I am not sure,” Garnacho informed the press.

“No one in the league was able to defeat us. We were missing several things. When goals aren’t falling, you’re continually in need of more.
After Amorim benched Garnacho for December’s match against Manchester City, rumors began circulating that he could be heading to Chelsea or Napoli during the January transfer window.
“The whole season, the situation of the club, and the final will influence (my decision),” Garnacho added. I’m just going to try to relax and have fun this summer and see where it takes me.”

Roberto Garnacho, who is the brother of the actor, called Garnacho “thrown under the bus” in a social media post.
Referring to Mount’s two goals in the second leg of the semi-final victory over Athletic Bilbao, in which he came off the bench, Amorim justified his team selection.
“How often has it been the other way around when we’ve had this discussion?” Mason Mount was one of the guys that came on against Bilbao and altered the game, according to Amorim.
Who blew a golden chance to put our team ahead of Bilbao in the first half? Absolutely, Garnacho. Indeed, it is now much simpler for us to discuss a wide range of opinions.
