Speaker Adeoye Aribasoye of Ekiti State House of Assembly made the motion for the governor’s endorsement, while Senator Yemi Adaramodu of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity made the motion for Tinubu’s endorsement for another term.
Speaking at the caucus meeting in Iyin Ekiti on Friday, Adaramodu praised Tinubu for revitalising the country’s economy through decisive economic reforms and for addressing the root cause of insecurity in the country through comprehensive security strategies, all within Tinubu’s first and a half years in office.
A senator from Ekiti South said that the president’s measures would have a “transformational” effect on the country’s economy and society.
“We in Ekiti APC want to adopt continuity, starting from President Tinubu, that he should continue as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2027 and that the Renew Hope Agenda shall continually be renewed,” he said, speaking on behalf of the National Assembly Caucus and as a true progressive member of our great party, APC.

Adaramodu stated, “We (APC) are not worried,” in response to questions about potential alliances with parties other than the APC. Aside from playing the political game, what else do you think politicians will do? They need to do something, whether it’s spreading propaganda or telling lies.
Aribasoye argued that Governor Oyebanji had exceptional leadership abilities by consistently prioritizing the well-being of Ekiti residents and the comprehensive improvement of the state, and he urged his endorsement for a second term.
The speaker praised Governor Oyebanji for his exceptional leadership, praising his honesty, hard work, and profound dedication to Ekiti’s progress. Under Oyebanji’s watch, the state has seen tremendous improvements in infrastructure, security, healthcare, education, and social and economic growth.

“I propose that this caucus supports Governor Oyebanji to run for the office of governor of Ekiti State in the upcoming 2026 election,” the Speaker declared.
The state government’s interventions, including infrastructure development, rural electrification, healthcare improvement, agricultural revolution, and youth empowerment, were extended to every town in the state, according to Sola Elesin, the state APC chairman, who earlier praised Oyebanji.
Party members should express their gratitude to Oyebanji for his demeanor, humility, and devotion to the party on a national and state level, according to Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti State.
President Tinubu’s support and the favorable atmosphere he had created through his audacious national policies and reforms had enabled states to prosper, and Oyebanji was grateful to the party leaders for having faith in his leadership abilities.
“The caucus has made itself very clear,” added Niyi Adebayo, a former governor. The governor’s bid for reelection has our full backing.
His work has been well-received, and we all think he should run for office again. While he pursues further leadership roles, he will have our complete backing, Adebayo added.
