This information was shared with journalists in Lagos on Wednesday by Dr. Jebe Abdullahi, who is both the chairman of the working committee and the special adviser to the governor on Islamic matters.

The 2025 Hajj operations were described by Dr. Abdullahi as extremely successful and trouble-free, and he expressed his delight with the entire coordination.

For their roles in making the pilgrimage a success, he thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Mr. Ibrahim Layode (Amirul-Hajj and Commissioner for Home Affairs), and other important officials.

“We are deeply thankful to Governor Sanwo-Olu and his Deputy for their consistent support towards Hajj operations in Lagos State,” he stated.

Abdullahi also paid tribute to the Saudi Arabian government, mentioning projects such as the Hajj Pass that allowed pilgrims to participate easily and contributed to keeping Makkah holy.

He went on to say that the Lagos pilgrims stayed in a top-notch facility while in the Holy Land, which had a favourable impact on their conduct.

He prayed that the Hajj’s spiritual lessons would be ingrained in the pilgrims’ minds and hearts so that they might use them in their daily lives.

According to Dr. Abdullahi, the 2025 pilgrimage raised the bar for Hajj management in Nigeria and Lagos State specifically.

In order to improve future Hajj performances, he reiterated the committee’s commitment to working in tandem with NAHCON, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, and other interested parties.

He assured us that everything is set up to make sure the rest of the pilgrims may return safely according to NAHCON’s repatriation plan.
