While hosting members of the Niger State Chapter of the National Council of Women’s Societies at his palace in Mokwa, the traditional king made this appeal.
He expressed concern that the stench of decaying corpses would cause serious health problems if not handled appropriately.
For him, “the places are really stinky, which means, there are more bodies under the roof.”
The Ndalile expressed gratitude to NCWS for the donation, highlighting the assistance provided to flood-affected mothers and children.

The Council President, Mrs. Justina Yakubu, had previously stated that the act was meant to express solidarity with their suffering and to ask God to provide for the flood victims who were left without parents.
The Coordinating Committee’s representative, Mr. Ibrahim Abubakar, promised careful use of the humanitarian supplies upon receiving them.
