Legislative Arm of Ughelli North local government council member Hon. Obukoadata Aghoghofia of Delta State, who represented Evwreni Ward 8, has passed away. While competing in a football tournament in the Evwreni neighbourhood, he slouched and passed away.

Tragically, three serving councillors in Delta State have passed away in the span of nine months and one week. Two of them were from Ughelli North, while one was from Emede Ward 5 in Isoko South.
“I am not one given to emotional fits, but your sudden departure just three hours after we sat in my office, shared laughter and jokes together, is a tragedy too painful to bear,” said Ughelli North local government council chairman Olorogun Jaro Egbo on Facebook, expressing his sorrow over the loss.
You were a successful lawmaker whose unfaltering devotion to serving the people and investing in his ward’s growth made an unforgettable impression on the 8th Assembly.
Hon. Obukadeta Aghoghophia, you may have passed on like all mortals, but the happiness we experienced together is a sobering reminder of how transient and unpredictable life is.
