Athletes from Kano killed in car crash; Senator Jibrin expresses condolences

Jibrin, who is also the Deputy President of the Senate, has conveyed his profound sadness over the deaths of the Kano athletes who were involved in a car crash on Saturday on the way back from the National Sports Festival in Ogun State, which had just ended. On Saturday, he shared this on his official Facebook page.

Senator Barau conveyed his deepest sympathies to the state’s residents, the sports community, the Kano State government, and the families of the deceased athletes in his condolence message.

“Allahu akbar wa rahmatu-ala. It was with great sadness that I learnt about the disaster involving the Kano State contingent while they were returning from the National Sports Festival (NSF) in Ogun State, which had recently finished.

I pray that Allah (SWT) hastens the healing of the wounded and grants Jannatul Firdaus to the families of the deceased.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to the relatives of the victims, as well as to the government of Kano State, the sports community, and the people of the entire state. “May Allah bless you,” the post reads.
