Mohammed Umaru Bago, governor of Niger State, has expressed his condolences to the residents of Mokwa Local Government Area following the recent catastrophic flood that ravaged the region, claiming countless lives and destroying countless homes.

The tragedy was characterised by the governor as tragic, tragic, and pitiful, particularly considering the number of lives lost and property damaged, according to a message sent by the governor’s chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
“I beg Allah to grant the departed Aljanna Firdausi and speedy recoveries to the wounded. My heart goes out to the families of those who perished and their possessions in this terrible tragedy,” he said.
In order to help individuals in need, Bago ordered the Niger State Emergency Management Agency and other important parties to take swift and appropriate action while also assessing the situation to determine the extent of the damage.
His message to the residents of Mokwa was one of calm assurance that the state administration would do all in its power to make sure everyone was secure.
