The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will be hosted by Tyla, a South African musician, who will be the first African to do so. The 2025 edition’s host and nominations were revealed by the organizers on Thursday.

In a live broadcast from Santa Monica, California’s Barker Hangar on June 21, the South African star, who won Grammys, will serve as host.
For her singles “Show Me Love” with WizTheMc and “bees & honey,” Tyla received two nominations: one for Favorite Global Music Star and another for Favorite Music Collaboration.
With four nominations apiece, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, and Lady Gaga headed the list of nominees for the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Selena Gomez, Jelly Roll, and Jack Black are in close pursuit, each with three nominations.
Tyla wrote, “I’m really about to host the kids choice awards” in response to her most recent accomplishment on Thursday night via X.
