According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), no decision has been made on the dispute inside the Labour Party (LP).

This was announced by the commission in reaction to media reports stating that it had officially recognized certain individuals as the party’s national chairman and secretary.
“The names of the National Officers of the LP had previously been uploaded to our website following a court order, not related in any way to the latest judgement of the Supreme Court,” stated Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman.
The same website also did not remove or restore the name of the PDP’s national secretary. The Commission, being a law-abiding institution, is thoroughly reviewing the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Labour Party and will inform the public of its decision at the appropriate time,” the statement continued.
