He issued this order on Saturday at a special meeting of the Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and DPOs that was held at the Police Officers Mess in Makurdi. The Benue State Police Command’s spokesperson, CSP Catherine Anene, made this announcement on Sunday.

According to her, Emenari pushed for community policing—a collaborative approach to law enforcement—and urged the commanders to collaborate with other quasi-security groups operating in their area of responsibility.

“He firmly believes in a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and any type of unprofessional behavior that tarnishes the reputation of the Nigeria Police Force. Additionally, he has pledged to recognize and reward officers who demonstrate exceptional professionalism while performing their duties,” the statement read.

Everyone concerned with the safety of the state is welcome to work with the CP, including traditional rulers, community leaders, and quasi-security agencies.
