In response to what it deemed as a secret attempt to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration, the pan-Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere has taken a stand. They did, however, claim that President Tinubu’s government is a Nigerian one.

This was said in a statement made in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, by Abagun Kole Omololu, the group’s organizing secretary.
There is no levity to this charge. Patriots must think on this information and reject it if they still hold Nigeria dear. The government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not Yoruba, and that much is clear.
This administration is based in Nigeria. The democratic process, which included votes cast in good faith by Nigerians of all ethnicities, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds, brought him to the presidency, not tribal inheritance.
“Utilizing the term “Yoruba” to attack this administration is a terrible combination of tribalism, sedition, and dishonesty. This is completely rejected,” the statement read.

Afenifere stated that President Tinubu will fulfill his whole eight-year term in accordance with the wishes of the Nigerian people and the Constitution, and that any suggestion to the contrary would be to jeopardize the national destiny of the country.
