On Tuesday, Trump contacted the Canadian leader, James Carney, and congratulated him on his electoral win. He called me up yesterday – he said let’s make a deal,” Trump informed reporters at the White House during a Cabinet meeting that was broadcast live.
“Carney couldn’t have been nicer and I congratulated him,” the president of the United States said. The Republican stressed once again that the leader of Canada will be visiting the White House in the next week.
He claims that the nearly evenly distributed results in Canada’s election this week send a confusing message and add further complexity to the country’s political landscape.
