After leaving Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo has told the club he wants to join

If Cristiano Ronaldo ever decides to leave Al-Nassr, the Saudi Pro League team he now captains, former Greece international Georgios Karagounis has strongly suggested that he sign with Panathinaikos.

The current season is Ronaldo’s last with Al-Nassr. The Portugal national team player has not renewed his contract with the club as of yet. Karagounis told Spin Genie—as reported by GOAL—that Panathinaikos would be a great fit for Ronaldo.

“I wish Cristiano Ronaldo would play for Panathinaikos in Greece, but I doubt we’ll ever see him play for Wrexham,” Karagounis remarked.

We can’t predict the future, but Panathinaikos and Ronaldo are household names in Greece, and the club is fantastic. I’d love to see him wear green with Panathinaikos; he did it with Sporting.”

Ronaldo is in the waning years of his football career, having turned 40 years old. He is a former player for Juventus, Real Madrid, Sporting CP, Manchester United, and Sporting CP. Whether Ronaldo signs with Panathinaikos or another club after the season is over is still up in the air.
