2026 World Cup: Dates and Venue for Group Stage Draws Confirmed

The draw for the 2026 World Cup is scheduled for December 5 in Las Vegas, according to ESPN. FIFA has chosen this American city after eliminating options in Canada and Mexico.

Next year, the tournament will be held across all three countries. A total of 48 teams will compete in the 2026 World Cup, up from the previous 32.

“If I’m not mistaken, December 5 is exactly when the draw will occur, or at the start of December,” said Pedro Cedillo, an executive from Pachuca.

“I believe it will be in Las Vegas, and we need to be there to share information about Pachuca city, Hidalgo state, and our two venues.” The last time the US hosted the World Cup in 1994, the draw was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
