Fayemi stated that Nigerians are facing hunger during Tinubu’s tenure, suggesting that they might not support him in the 2027 elections.

In a video shared by furucinovel, Fayemi was seen expressing that Nigerians are frustrated with the Tinubu-led Federal Government, hinting that they may not back the APC in the upcoming presidential election.

Speaking in Yoruba, Fayemi remarked: “Unless we are fooling ourselves, Nigerians are dissatisfied with the Federal Government. This is due to hunger and financial struggles.

“If we examine the roads, particularly the federal roads, anyone traveling from Efon Alaaye through Erio Ekiti will witness the situation firsthand.

“Anyone coming from Omuo Ekiti and passing through Ilasa Ekiti to Ayedun Ekiti will also see the conditions for themselves.

When we constructed this road that BAO (Governor Biodun Oyebanji) has just finished, it cost around N18 billion to N20 billion.

“The Federal Government claimed they did not authorize us to build the road, so no reimbursement was provided. If they had refunded the money, wouldn’t the governor have utilized those funds to complete the second phase of the road from Ado Ekiti to Iyin Ekiti and build the road to Aramoko-Ekiti?”

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, along with another Assembly member, Tope Longe, were present with Fayemi in the video.

It’s worth noting that Fayemi was notably absent from the endorsement rally for Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji that took place in Ado Ekiti on Monday.
