The Chinese government has demanded an explanation from the US government about the role it played in the global spread of the COVID pandemic, which killed millions of people and triggered a worldwide economic recession.

China made the demand on Tuesday in response to a new website established by the White House that explains the origins of COVID. The US claims that the virus started in a lab leak in China.

According to Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for China’s foreign affairs, the matter is scientific in nature, and China has been an active participant in it in the sake of transparency and openness.
“Stop playing deaf to the questions concerning its role in the pandemic,” Jiakun said, urging the US administration to cease “weaponizing the origins-tracing of COVID.”

He stated that the United States should respond seriously to reasonable concerns voiced by the international community and provide a responsible explanation to the people of the globe.
As Jiakun pointed out, there have been stories of clues being unearthed in many regions and nations worldwide indicating the likely origins of the pandemic since it began.
