In preparation for the meeting of high-ranking officials between the two countries on Wednesday, the Chinese government has stated that relations with Iran are amicable.

Foreign Minister Wang Yi of China has extended an invitation to Iran’s Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who is a member of the CPC Central Committee.
China and Iran have maintained diplomatic relations for 54 years, according to Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for China’s foreign ministry, who made the observation at a briefing on Tuesday.
According to Jiakun, the two countries have mutual regard, confidence in one another, and support for one another. He also mentioned that the two countries are working together to promote peace and stability on a global and regional scale.
During Araghchi’s visit, he said, the two sides would have a frank discussion about Iran-China relations and other pressing global and regional issues.

He emphasized the importance of the impending visit, saying it will help put into action the key agreements made between the two nations’ leaders.
A representative from each side also stated that the summit will promote cooperation in several areas, strengthen political mutual trust, and preserve multilateralism.
