The president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), MC Oluomo, has been criticised by veteran Nollywood actor Lalude for failing to keep the promises made to him and other celebrities who backed President Tinubu in the last election.

Toyin Abraham, Olaiye Igwe, Lege Miami, Eniola Badmus, Seyi Law, and Alapini were among the several Nigerian celebrities who spearheaded efforts for Tinubu’s presidential candidacy in the 2023 general election, according to furucinovel.
But Lalude said in a social media video that went viral that their campaign organiser, MC Oluomo, had failed to pay them for their work.
Despite our efforts to support President Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu throughout the election, my colleagues and I were not compensated in any way following the campaign.
“We campaigned for them for thirty days straight, leaving our jobs in the process. It was MC Oluomo who brought us all together for the campaign. He specifically told Alapini and me to ask for everything we wanted, and we did, but he never delivered. Those sitting on the money will be cursed for the rest of their lives,” Lalude declared.
