Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, signed a condolence statement on Sunday that contained this information. According to Akpabio, the late Dantata was an altruistic man who spent his life providing aid to those in need.

Dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the downtrodden, the late Aminu Dantata shown his compassion for all people. He left an indelible mark on our nation’s history through his charitable activity,” Akpabio added.

He went on to say that Dantata was a generous and brilliant man who had worked his way to the top with sheer determination and perseverance.

He spoke about how much of an impact he had on the growth of Nigeria as a whole and on the state of Kano in particular.

The Senate President conveyed his deepest sympathies to the Dantata family, the Nigerian business community, the people and government of Kano State, and beyond. He spoke highly of the late billionaire, calling him a grandfather figure, an icon, and a respected mentor.

The late Dantata really was an institution in his own right. It is fitting that he be both emulated and immortalised, he remarked.

“Meanwhile, I extend my deepest sympathies to the Dantata family on behalf of my loved ones, my constituents, the Senate, and the whole National Assembly. May Almighty God grant him eternal peace,” the statement read.
