Midfielder Fede Valverde of Real Madrid has made a distinction between Xabi Alonso and Carlo Ancelotti, the club’s previous manager.

You may remember that Alonso, after departing from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, took over as manager of Real Madrid a few weeks ago, succeeding Ancelotti.
When Ancelotti accepted the position of head coach of the Brazilian national football team, he departed Real Madrid.
Valverde shared his thoughts on the contrast between Alonso and Ancelotti after assisting Real Madrid to a 3-1 victory over Pachuca in Sunday’s FIFA Club World Cup match.
How is Xabi different from Ancelotti? The Uruguayan international stated, “Xabi asks us midfielders to have more control” (via Madrid Zone).
